Eschaton Artifact 04

This artifact appears to have a fundamental role in the proceedings of the Eschaton and its many Envoys, and are often found scattered at various key locations. It has been speculated that they are energy nodes which sustain the entire Eschaton, though as with other artifacts and entities associated with the Eschaton, it is unknown whether concepts such as "energy" is entirely applicable to them.

It has a number of peculiar physical properties, one of which include the mismatch between its estimated physical mass and its inertia. Another peculiarity is that while the dimension of the artifact can vary considerably, the mass exactly stays the same even between individuals with dissimilar dimensions.

The areas surrounding the object is usually contaminated by a pool of viscous substance which appears to expand and contract at irregular intervals. Such areas are considered as hot-zones and are inherently hostile to the continual existence of normal physical entities which are above a particular threshold of complexity.
