Eschaton Artifact 05

This object was found resting in the centre of a shallow, glassy crater. Its interior was glowing a dull amber, but otherwise it was completely inert and unresponsive to any stimuli.

It is unknown if it serves a specific purpose and requires a signal to trigger it into action. Or if it had already fulfilled its objective(s) in a former incarnation, and is now merely a discarded tool which is of no use to the Eschaton nor its Envoys.
