Love In The Time of Eschaton: Charybdis

This is the second full profile of an Eschaton Envoy from the Love In The Time of Eschaton world - just another Eldritch Horror looking for love in the post-Eschaton world.

The Charybdis exudes a dominating presence over its surrounding domain. It is frequently surrounded by both potential Chosen and Envoys, the former are swept up by its powerful wave of Glamour, the latter drawn by the mass of Chosen that have congregated around the Charybdis. Hence the presence of the Charybdis is often a reliable indication that there are other Envoys nearby. But the Charybdis is very selective and only pick a few who strikes its fancy to remain by its side. The rest are cast aside and left stranded in its wakes, and they are easy picking for other Envoys which loiter near the Charybdis.

However, the thirst of Charybdis is immense and can never be quenched. It is rarely satisfied by the presence of a single Chosen by its side and will continue to draw others into its domain. The Chosen who decides to spend their life with Charybdis must realise they will only be one of many souls that will be graced by the affection of the Charybdis, and they may be discarded at any moment.
