At first the Echidna may seem apathetic or even shy in the presence of humans, but as it gets habituated to the presence of a prospective Chosen, its behaviour will change radically. It will send out its tendrils of affections to the Chosen to take them within itself. Once the Chosen is within, the Echidna will lavish endless loving attention upon the Chosen, budding off more gestates of the pseudo-multitude to ensure that the Chosen is receiving constant attention and well cared for.

But be warn, any Chosen who has become entangled with the Echidna must have the mental stamina to keep up with it. The Echidna demands full and constant attention from its Chosen. Failing to do so would mean being ejected and impaled upon its Eternal Spines, and becoming just another human that failed to survive in the post-Eschaton world.
